Roofer Marketing HQ is an independent site for people who own roofing companies and want to see numbers before they sign anything.
Who writes it
Steve Meitler is the editor. He has spent the last several years running growth campaigns for local service businesses, roofing contractors among them, and he builds the benchmark dataset on this site by hand. He is not a roofer. What he brings is the part owners rarely get shown: what a lead actually costs, what a campaign actually produced, and how the rest of the market measures up.
Where the benchmark numbers come from
The benchmark report is built from public Google Business Profile listings. We run Google Maps searches for roofing companies in every US state, keep only the public fields on each listing (review count, star rating, website link, listed hours, primary category, city and state), remove duplicates by Google place ID, and compute the statistics. Nothing comes from behind a login, and no reviewer names or personal details are stored. The set currently holds 102,385 listings across 51 states and is refreshed monthly.
Collection at this scale carries noise: closed businesses Google has not removed, general contractors listing roofing as a category, storm outfits with a mail drop in three states. Treat every figure as accurate within a point or two, not to the decimal.
Editorial rules
- No pay-to-play. Nobody buys a mention, a recommendation, or a spot on a list here. There are no affiliate links to lead vendors, CRMs or supplement companies.
- Every number is sourced, either to our own dataset or to a primary source such as Google's published policies. Where a figure is a range from campaigns we have run, it is labeled as that. Where something is opinion, it says so.
- Guides get written for an owner who is on a roof or in a truck. If a step cannot be done in an evening or handed to an office manager, it does not go in.
- We do not publish anything that tells you how to steer an insurance claim. Marketing advice here stops at the line where the adjuster's job starts, and we say why in the FAQ.
How the free trial works
The site is funded by the marketing work we do for roofing companies. Every service is offered as a free 14-day trial because an owner in this trade has usually been burned once already and should see the phone ring before paying anyone.
You text or call, say which service you want, and we set it up inside your own accounts, usually within 48 hours of a 20-minute setup call. It runs 14 days. No card on file, nothing renews, and the accounts stay yours. At the end you keep it at a price quoted before the trial started, switch to something else, or stop.
Text or call (385) 832-6175, or use the free trial page.
